Dr. Javier de Diego

Francisco Javier de Diego Adeliño is a psychiatrist at the Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau in Barcelona, PhD in Medicine, associate professor at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) and researcher linked to the Sant Pau Research Institute (IR-Sant Pau) and the Center for Biomedical Research in Mental Health Network (CIBERSAM, G-25). He is a member of the Spanish Society of Psychiatry and Mental Health (SEPSM), of which he was part of its executive committee, and member of the Catalan Society of Psychiatry and Mental Health (SCPiSM). Currently he also collaborates as editor for The Journal of European Psychiatry. His main areas of interest are psychopharmacology, neuromodulation, the search for biomarkers and the biological basis of major depressive disorder, especially treatment-resistant forms. He has multiple publications in these fields and collaborates assiduously in teaching activities in the field of psychiatry and neurosciences.
